Ilana's singing it merges local tradition, Israeli, and an ancient tradition, which comes from the mountains of Kurdistan. Complex identity, tradition deep connection saved by her father Cantor, born in Kurdistan, and deep connection as Hebrew and modern Hebrew poetry, created a vocal presence - a great musical resonance. אילנה אליה שירה אתנו קלאסית
שירתה של אילנה אליה ממזגת בתוכה מסורת מקומית, ישראלית, ומסורת עתיקה, הבאה מהרי כורדיסטן. זהותה המורכבת, הקשר העמוק למסורת שנשמרה על ידי אביה החזן, יליד כורדיסטן, והקשר העמוק לא פחות ללשון העברית ולשירה העברית החדשה, יצרו בנוכחותה הקולית-מוזיקלית הדהוד אדיר. קולה היחודי, הצלול, הנוקב, קיבל משום כך עוצמת הבעה נדירה.
אילנה מבצעת שירה כורדית עברית וערבית, ומופיעה בפסטיבלים למוסיקה אתנית, ישראלית ויהודית ברחבי העולם. הופיעה באנגליה, צרפת, איטליה, ספרד, פורטוגל ארה"ב ועוד.
מבצעת פרוייקטים משותפים עם אמנים רבים, ביניהם:
מרק קופיטמן - מלחין מוסיקה קלאסית מודרנית, אנסבל ג'אז של הצוללת הצהובה, אבי בללי ולהקת נקמת הטרקטור ועוד.
