Talks between Israeli, Turkish teams on Marmara compensation delayed
Talks between Turkish and Israeli negotiating teams regarding compensation for the families of nine Turkish activists killed in the Israeli naval commando raid of the 2010 Marmara flotilla have been delayed by 10 days. The meeting was to have taken place at the weekend. Turkey's Deputy Prime Minister Bulent Arinc said it was put off because of the Turkish prime minister's trip to Kirgistan. The families of the activists and the organization IHH, which organized the flotilla to break Israel's maritime blockade of the Gaza Strip, announced last night that Israel's apology to Turkey over the raid does not go far enough.
